TeenageTales

What is TeenageTales? It's a home for teen writers. It's a place for book recs. It's a place for writing and publishing tips. It's a place to develop your creativity. It's a place for updates on Nadia Partyka's books.

Most importantly, it's a place for all writers and readers to find a space that is available to all (no costs for 'bonus stuff') and your own type of strange uniqueness. We welcome everyone to our family.

Welcome! I'm thrilled to have you exploring my website. My name is Nadia Partyka and I am a teenage reader, writer and poet.

In September 2024, I published my debut novella Amethyst- Time And Time Again, a story of adventure, magic and hope. In April 2025, I received high commendation for my poem about Home and books.

Through publishing, I learned that this is what I want to do: live in a world of books and help others find and share their beautiful stories. I dream of expanding TeenageTales meanwhile being an editor and publishing helper for other teens who love writing (and don't have those beautifully massive budgets).

Please support me by buying my book, telling others about me, reviewing my books or reading my posts. Everything makes a difference and helps me keep writing :)

Teen. Create. Connect. Is now live!

Click the button below to see all the information on what we're looking for, and how to submit below. Get ready to share your beautiful creative work. All you have to do is be a teenager, and share your teen work or create something about being a teen creative. It's that simple!

TeenageTells- Publishing (5)

What happens after you publish your book? The one thing that should not happen is that you just let it sit. You've done promotion before the launch, but now's the time to turn it up. Talk about your book whenever you can, and wherever you can. Find every opportunity and go for it. Don't think it's too ambitious, or that you won't get chosen. If you don't go for it, you have a 0% chance of success. Applying already increases that. I'm personally planning to talk to some year g

TeenageTells- Publishing Emerald

May 29th is Friday and fast approaching. Here’s an overview: Max and Amethyst are back in the thrilling sequel of Amethyst- Time And Time Again. Now, they have to venture to Ancient Egypt to find The Chosen One: Emerald. But she isn't who they expect. Firstly, she's completely indecisive. Secondly, she's not cut out to be a Queen. And thirdly, and most importantly, everyone wants her, for one reason or another. Dive into a world of magic, history and drama. If you dare. I’m n

TeenageTells- Emerald Process

Every book is different. Especially if you’re writing as a teenager. I wrote my first book at 13, and my second one at 15, and the experiences were very different. With one, I had no clue what I was doing, and with the second I had some clue. Why was Emerald different? It wasn’t my first rodeo. I already had an idea with where I was going with the series and what I wanted my future in general to look like. And the process was…. well, great to compare and contrast, to be hones

TeenageTells- Teen. Create. Connect.

Teen. Create. Connect. Is the writing and art collaboration I am launching, starting today! (4th of May) I've always found it so annoying how writing competitons either have $20 entry fees, are for specific countries or useless prizes like 20% off a course you don't even want. That it takes forever to find out whether your work was chosen, or you never get told anything. Instead of waiting around for the perfect thing to come about, or waiting until I'm an adult to do it, I'v

Teen Creativity- Monopoly

You may have noticed there no TeenageTells in the title. If you're a writer, it doesn't mean you just have to write and read. You can explore other faucets of your creativity, and learn to use it beautifully. I love the world of Fourth Wing. It's lots of fantasy, but not too complicated, and the characters are so lovable. So, in my (definitely not an) obsession, I designed and made a Fourth Wing version of Monopoly, using online fanart and my own (limited) digital design and

TeenageTells- Mink ‘26

Last Thursday, the results came in. I was highly commended for BOTH my short story and my poem, called A Little Birdie Told Me and Lives Bigger Than Ours respectively. The theme was trees, and I’m so happy about both that got chosen! In ‘celebration’ I’ll be talking about how I wrote both of these (briefly). My Poem: Lives Bigger Than Ours came purely from the prompt of trees and I played with that idea. What comes in treees? A generational tree. A poem for me usually only ta

TeenageTells- An Essay

Here is an essay I wrote on the key driving forces of a narrative, which was chosen as one of the best in the competition, and I think you might find insightful. T here are two general methods a writer can choose to lead a narrative, with most novels, plays and short stories following both. Firstly, you have external conflict, where a reader is introduced to a setting and/or sequence of events that will occur to a character, whether it is a bank heist, or overthrowing of a le

TeenageTells- Go Preorder!

Today’s post is quick-fire! Im in Poland to spend time with my family over Easter this week and next, and to be honest, don't feel like writing a long informative post. Hope you can understand. Everyone needs a break sometimes. Instead, I’m going to give a few updates. Go preorder Emerald- Time And Time Again on Amazon and be rejoiced because there’s going to be a NEW version of Amethyst to match. (Should be uploading soon . ) How exciting! Click here to find it! Also, I’ve

TeenageTells- Do I Write Well?

A lot of the time I have people tell me that they’re too afraid to write, or they don’t think it’s good enough. I want to burst that toxic bubble and tell you that writing is a process. Your first draft will never be perfect (and if you think it is, then we have some more work to do) but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t write it. The only way to be a writer, get better, or say you’ve written something is to actually write. Having ideas is a very essential step, but to call yours

TeenageTells- Project Feather

I have done so much world-building for this story, I can't believe it myself! And I want to share some with you. Project Feather centres around 3 young women: Maiamara, Acheron and Solene. They live in the world Karada, where everything has a deeper meaning than it seems. The different 'regions' are named after parts of the body, with Kard ía -- the heart -- being the centre of our plot. For one reason or another, they all end up at The Atlantic Academy: a school for Dragons.

TeenageTells- Women’s Day

8th of March is international women’s day. So, I have a story to share. It’s not the best: it hasn’t been fully edited. But I still hope you’ll enjoy it. Year: 2424 AD “Time of death: midnight.” Silence echoes from every person into every corner of the operating theatre. Everything is lighter. I don’t feel anything anymore. The room is far too small for its purpose, with a lack of equipment and far too people working to save a life. The ones who are here are crowded round th

TeenageTells- World Book Day

Have you heard of it? Instead of writing about it, I'm going to be sharing a PowerPoint which I made for my school with you . Walking you through my inspirations, how to become an author yourself and my own writing. Simply click below and enjoy the audio and visual presentation. Hi! Click me! I hope you enjoy! Next week I'll have regular blog posts back. See you then!

TeenageTells- Join Me On Project Feather

I am starting a sort-of-new project which you may know as project feather. For just a little while, I want to take a break from the Time And Time Again series, and focus on this little passion project. And, yes, Emerald is still coming out, but I'm not working on book 3 yet. This story is an idea I've been toying with for about a year, but I can't remember when exactly I started. It's high fantasy, which is always fun, and I hope it'll get me in the mood to read some more fan

TeenageTells- Publishing (4)

How do you submit your books to be published? Valid question, and I'm here to answer it. This week, I've been submitting Emerald (and Amethyst's second edition) to Ingram Spark, so now seems like the best time to write about this. I've got screenshots, and a step-by-step, dos and don'ts. Let's start at the beginning. Finish your book. Quite obvious, but edit, write, and do the final checks. Now's basically your last chance. Format. A lot goes into formatting, and I've talked

TeenageTells- Love Writing

Valentine’s Day is coming up this weekend, so I thought I’d talk about love ❤️ Now, I don't write very much romance, so I'm focusing on love between friends. For the girls, this is Galentine's. But I'm also thinking about loving yourself and being your own Valentine, because you are enough on your own. Don't worry, this post is nice and quick, and not too lovey-dovey. So, how do you write a friendship with chemistry? The best way to do this, is to have them complete each othe

TeenageTells- The Last Bookstore On Earth

This is my first (official) book review at TeenageTells. And let me tell you, I'm excited. I read this book in 6 days, during my low-reading time. This means, it was quick. The Last Bookstore on Earth is a dystopian novel about a girl named Liz who survived an acid rain and The Storm which wiped out most of the population. It is post-apocalyptic, but the world is supposedly going to end again. I read the paperback version and rated it 4 stars, because I've found that everythi
