Welcome to Teen. Create. Connect.

We’re proud to have you here. Thank you to everyone who submitted, and to everyone who’s reading right now. You help keep creativity and hope alive. Give yourself a round of applause. You deserve it.

Teen.

Usually, people are expected to wait until they’re older to do incredible things, to unlock their mind and work hard. But it’s also expected that, by 20, we have 5 years of experience. Well, consider every word in this book an experience, a journey, a world. For everyone. We’re teenagers; it’s not perfect, but it’s real. It's beautiful and inspiring to see our youth still has the spark.

It's never too early, and it’s also never too late to become yourself.

Create.

Our world doesn’t necessarily praise creativity. It’s not quite shamed, but it’s not often considered a career. You do not need to have an income to draw, sing, write, take photos, paint, dance, and more. Creativity is all about expression. All that matters is how it changes people.

This book will probably change how you see. There’s new perspective, ideas not yet explored, and true emotion: the perfect example of creativity.

Connect.

Get inspired by this. Find friends through writing, in all forms. Have a chat with creators, whether or not you’re creative yourself (though, it’s especially great if you connect through creativity). You never know where it could go. By reading these words, you are already connecting. You are bridging a constantly growing community of creatives. Different minds, different ideas, different backgrounds and different sparks can come together. You are never facing the world alone, and let these pages be a reminder of that.

We see the same stars, but make different wishes. Same with words. Same words, different meanings.

Hi, my name is Sherisa Johnson Rock, I'm a student at St Paul's Catholic School and I am currently in sixth form and study BTEC Business and ICT. I chose these subjects because they are very interesting to study and I’m able to understand the concepts effectively and I enjoy playing badminton, tennis, volleyball, basketball and netball.
