TeenageTells- Working When Tired

I'm starting a busy few months. I'm trying to edit Emerald, and do a little something for Christmas (more on that next week), along with school, and next year I'm doing work experience and mocks... Ah! I could go on and on.

What I've found is that it's hard to do everything. It is so tiring and time-consuming that sometimes you just want to give up on everything and read or binge-watch your favourite series all day. I get it.

This is not a message just to you, but also to myself. How can we keep working when tired?

Firstly, make sure you avoid burnout. Don't work at 200% for 2 months, then crash for the next year. Try to work at a steady pace, or slowly increase the work (if you can).

Try and take a nap. Or, if you're not a napper, then just lay down in bed for a little while. So underrated. You could read, but I think just laying there with your thoughts works best. But don't use your phone! It doesn't help you regain energy. If anything, it drains you more.

Prioritise. What is due the soonest, and what is most important to you? Cut down on what is not 1#, and focus on what you feel is best for you.

Sometimes, you just have to do it tired. Make sure you sleep enough (at least 90% of the time), but if it's a little late, like 21:00, you can keep going. Take your pen, or your laptop, and get to work. Sometimes a push ids all you need.

I know it's terrible advice, but it's the best there is! Do it. Do it however you can. There is no magic potion, so put your headphones on, play your favourite song, and go. You have things you have to do.

I know this is a short post. Like I said, I'm working on a lot, and I'm taking my own advice and cutting down on my work.
