TeenageTells- Hey! What's up?

Nadia, what is going on? I want to know what you're writing! Are you editing your second book? Are you doing any more events? Where's the after-writing guide!
I'm here to update you on what's up in my writing career, in case you couldn't have guessed. I usually like to be snappy, and to the point, but this week I'm relaxing on that and having a chat with you. Comment below if there's more questions you want answering.
Right now I'm not writing very much because I'm focused on editing Emerald. To be honest, it has been a long process, but I'm getting somewhere through having 'editing time' and using critiques I've gotten. I'm almost done with chapter five of the (basically last) edit (other than proof-reading) but I personally edit on paper, so I'll also have to type it all up. I'm thinking about sharing the prologue, but probably not for a while, as I'm not publishing soon.
I've spent some time reading books, and just learning the craft a bit, meanwhile focusing on studies (I'm think about posting something about studying, as this website is for teens and, well, teens go to school...). I've read quite a few cool books recently, and have organised my TBR (to be read), and it's long. Oops.
I'm trying to get back into CritiqueCricle because recently it has just... slipped off the priority list, but it's back on! I'm in the zone now, and I'm ready to do everything I've been (sort of) procrastinating on.
Just recently I got invited to read out my poem (which I was highly commended for in April this year) in a tour around my city, which is exciting! I'll be reading to quite a few people, which'll be fun, and I'm honoured to be invited! I forgot to sign up for the Indie Book Fair 2025 (eek), but I hope to still attend to meet some writers! I want to go next year, though, because I'll have published Emerald by then!
I've started volunteering at my local library, for my DofE, which has been a super fun way to start my Saturday mornings! Just walking among books, organising them and just seeing all the beautiful stories before my eyes is amazing.
The after-writing guide is being researched and thoroughly worked on now! I plan to have it out before Christmas (I know that's a long time away), because I have a lot of stuff in my life to do, and I'm taking it slowly. I usually do some work on it after I've written my blog posts, and have some spare time, so progress is being made! I'm also reading some very smart books on writing (yeah, a bit later for that) and a bit about publishing, so I'll have some good extra knowledge.
But yeah! I think that's everything going on! Thanks for reading, and see you next week.
