Books! They're not only fun to write, but also read. It's one of the best ways to explore language and all it entails, along with improving your own writing. This week I wanted to go through some of the books I loved, and which I think you should read. Additionally, I'll be including a little 'reading journal' for different genres, themes, etc, which are found in the books you might read.

My Favourite Books (and age ratings):

Oxford Blood- 14+ YA murder mystery thriller

Enola Holmes (series)- 10+ Historical mystery

A Deadly Education (the Scholomance Series)- 15+ dark academia fantasy

Kay's Marvellous Medicine (non-fiction)- 9+ history, science

Atomic Habits (non-fiction)- 14+ self-help

Defy The Night (series)- 13+ YA fantasy

This Poison Heart- 13+ contemporary fantasy

I'll Give You The Sun- 14+ contemporary coming of age LGBTQ+

Lost in the Never Woods- 13+ fantasy retelling

Tips From A Publisher (non-fiction)- no age rating publisher industry

Until The End Of Time (non-fiction)- no age rating physics, cosmology, philosophy. It takes forever to understand, though, so I recommend 14+

The Book You Need To Write To Write The Book You Want To Write (non-fiction)- no age rating writing industry

Girl, Goddess, Queen- 13+ fantasy romance (a little mythology too)
